WEF Global Agenda Survey 2011: Summarizing Global Statistical Data

>From Moritz Stefaner and Jan Willem Tulp comes Global Agenda Survey 2011 [weforum.org], a collection of data visualizations for the World Economic Forum. The "clean and simple" interface shows of the most important global trends that will likely impact the global economy, ranging from the public debt crisis and the declining health of public finances in the major developed economies, to the digital revolution and "design innovation". Divided over about 5 different "interactive slides", all relevant data is shown through different visualization techniques, such as a synchronized dashboard-like view with ranked bar graphs, a map with geo-located bubble graphs, organic-looking slopegraphs, and an interactive relational network connecting conceptual issues and solutions. In the typical minimalistic style, the design emphasis was placed on communicating the global picture, while much of the real statistical number-crunching becomes only revealed through mouse hovering or deliberate user selection.
